Port Washington Municipal Code prohibits parking on any street between the hours of 2:00am and 6:00am, from December 1st through April 1st. The restriction is vital for winter road maintenance and snow removal. Understanding there may be a burden associated with this restriction, the Port Washington Police Department has developed a limited, online system to grant permission to park within these hours, under certain conditions. This system is intended to offer occasional, short-term relief for special circumstances. It is not intended to be a frequent solution to limited parking availability at any one location. Requests will be limited to 8 per winter season for any vehicle.

  • Permission may be granted on a per night basis by filling out the request form below.
  • Requests cannot be pre-scheduled and multiple day requests will not be allowed. A new request must be filled out each day by 10:00pm. -The form must be filled out completely and accurately, including vehicle registration, location, owner’s name and contact information.
  • Submitting the request does not automatically grant permission. Permission will not be granted if adverse weather is expected, or snow removal is ongoing.
  • Final determination of each request will be at the discretion of the Chief of Police, or on-duty supervisor. If there is an issue with your request, an officer will attempt to contact you if possible.
  • Reminder: Parking between 2:00am and 6:00am is never allowed on State Highway 32 or State Highway 33, regardless of the season. This includes N. Franklin St., N. Wisconsin St., W. Grand Ave., and S. Spring St.
