Port Washington Senior Center

Welcome!

The Port Washington Adult Community Senior Center is a vibrant community hub designed for adults 55 and better. Located at 403 W. Foster Street, the Center is a warm, inclusive space where friendship, wellness, learning, and adventure come together. Open Monday through Friday from 8:30AM to 4:00PM, the Center offers an inviting environment that is fully wheelchair accessible, with ramps, restrooms, and an elevator to ensure everyone can participate comfortably.

Membership: Many describe the Center as "the best deal around!" Stop in during regular hours for a tour, meet our staff, and complete a quick application. Members enjoy access to the Center’s full array of programs, while non-members may still join individual classes at a separate rate. Online membership enrollment and credit card payment will be available in the near future.

  • $25 single / $40 couple for local residents (Port Washington, Saukville, and Fredonia)
  • $45 single / $80 couple for individuals outside of our local community

About the Center: The Center is known for its exceptional variety of programs. Whether you’re looking to stay active, learn something new, or connect socially, you’ll find something just right for you. Our Fitness Center is fully equipped and open all day, with staff available to show you how to use the equipment. Group fitness options include Zumba, Chair Yoga, Indoor Walking, Cardio Drumming, Circuit Training, and Qigong for relaxation. Newcomers are always welcome to try a class for free.

For those who love to learn, explore, or simply stay engaged, the Center offers computer support, quarterly technology workshops in partnership with the library, and multiple book clubs, including a monthly library-led group and a short story discussion circle. Music lovers can join the Senior Singers, a lively choir that rehearses weekly and performs throughout the community, or sign up for individual piano lessons with a highly skilled instructor.

Travel enthusiasts will find abundant opportunities as well: the Center organizes 20+ local trips each year, from dinner theater outings to symphony performances and baseball games. For extended travel, we partner with Collette and Premier to offer exciting national and international destinations.

Social spaces within the Center invite fun and fellowship, such as the popular Green Felt Club, our billiards program featuring four full-size pool tables praised as some of the best around. Members can also enjoy lunch through Café 60 by calling Julie (Dining Supervisor) at (262)483-9753 or by stopping in to chat with her in person during her normal hours of 9:30AM -1:30PM.

While we do not provide personal care assistance or transportation, staff are happy to guide you to local resources, including transit options and benefits counseling available through the Aging and Disability Resource Center.
