Working with the City’s Geotechnical Consultant, Miller Engineers and Scientists, the City’s Street Department has removed soils that have blocked access to North Beach since the bluff slide occurred on April 13.   However,  existing soils remain saturated, elevating the risk of additional slides, and therefore the decision has been made to keep the access to North Beach closed until additional mitigation measures can be taken.    The City will continue to work with Miller in the following weeks to fully re-open beach access, and will continue to post updates on the City’s website and Facebook page.
