In partnership with Port Washington Parks, Recreation, & Forestry, Mike Keller, Friends of Port Washington Parks & Rec, and the Van Ells-Schanen American Legion Post 82, and with generous support from a $10,000 restoration grant from the We Energies Foundation, we are honored to share the details for a rededication ceremony of the Pillar of Honor WWII Memorial at Coal Dock Park.

The ceremony will begin at 10:00AM on Saturday, November 8, featuring remarks from several speakers, a performance of the National Anthem by Windy Hope, and a military flyover to conclude the ceremony at 11:00AM. A free reception luncheon will follow at 12:00PM, hosted by the Van Ells-Schanen American Legion Post #82 at their clubhouse, 435 N. Lake St., Port Washington.

 

The public is invited to join in honoring those who have served and celebrate this renewed symbol of remembrance.
