2024 Street Improvement Project Update

Post Date:03/15/2024 3:07 PM

The 2024 Street Improvement Project is scheduled to begin the week of March 18, weather permitting.

The following streets are included in our 2024 Street Improvement Project:

Scott Road
Norview Circle
Lakeview Drive from E. Norport Drive to E. James Drive
Antoine Drive
E. James Drive

PTS Contractors will begin with water main installation on Antoine Drive starting at the bike path. It is anticipated that each property in the designated area will experience a minimum of two scheduled water service interruptions of less than eight hours each.  Residents will be notified at least one day in advance of scheduled service interruptions.

Storm sewer work, roadway grading, base course placement, curb, driveway and sidewalk construction, asphalt paving, and landscape restoration will complete the project, with project completion anticipated by mid-September.

For the duration of the project, streets will be open to local traffic only.  Residents will have access to their driveways with the exception of the time when curb and driveway approaches are installed (approximately 14 days).  Residents will be notified in advance of being restricted from access to your driveway. Please refrain from parking on the street during construction.

Please place garbage, recycling, and branches behind the curb for pick-up as usual.  If construction operations prohibit pick-up on your regular day, the hauler will return the next day.  If there are any questions during the project, please do not hesitate to contact the City’s on-site representative, Ross Kroeger at 262-483-6004 or at rkroeger@portwashingtonwi.gov.  Residents who have private irrigation systems, invisible fences, storm water laterals, or other utilities buried in or near the City’s right-of-way should notify Mr. Kroeger immediately.

Residents in the construction area were notified by letter dated March 14, 2024 with this information.
