Telephone scams continue to plague our phone lines. Remember to never give out personal information over the phone. The IRS or Social Security Administration will not call you to advise you of fraud or money owed. If you ever receive a phone call and the caller tells you to get a prepaid card at a local store or wire money, it is most likely a scam. Verify with family members first if you receive a call from someone claiming to be a grandchild or other member of your family needing money sent overseas because they are in trouble. This is another scam.

*Never give personal information out over the phone*

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) 1-703-276-0100 and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) 1-202-326-2222 are actively taking scam reports. You can also go to the Federal Trade Commission website to report scams.

Strategic Plan - Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)

  • Establish expectations for School Resource Officer (SRO) to increase positive contacts.
    • Identify activities SRO can and does participate in.
    • Track daily activities.
    • Track truancy rates (comparison of students with SRO intervention and those that do not).

     

  • Evaluate traffic accidents from the previous five-year period to analyze trends to reduce crashes through road safety improvements or enforcement. 
  • Customer Satisfaction.
    • Use current city customers survey and data to improve customer experience.
