City Street Sweepers will be out next week starting Monday October 17, 2022 to begin collecting leaves

The City Street Sweepers will be out next week starting Monday October 17, 2022 to begin collecting leaves.

 Please, only leaves should be raked into the gutter area.

 Do not put grass, brush, twigs, dead plants, vegetables, or fruit into the gutter area. These items should be taken to the Street Yard for disposal.

Brush collection has ended. Brush can now be taken to the Street Yard until Saturday December 3, 2022.

Mission Statement

The Department of Public Works is responsible for the maintenance of all City infrastructure located within the City’s right of way (ROW) and easements, including street pavement, sidewalks, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water mains and services, street lights, traffic signals, signage, pavement markings, landscaping, and forestry.   The Department also provides services including garbage and recyclable collection, brush collection, leaf collection, and street sweeping.   The divisions under the Department of Public Works includes Engineering, Streets, Water and Wastewater Utilities, and Forestry.   The Department is supervised by the Director of Public Works.
